At a meeting with the leadership of the Movement for Right and Freedom, the GERB nominee for prime minister, Prof. Nikolay Gabrovski, said that if a government was not formed now, there was a high probability for new early elections. Prof. Gabrovski and MRF found similarities in their priorities - stabilization of the state and continuation of the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, welcoming Bulgaria into Schengen and the Eurozone and implementation of judicial reform. Both sides united around the need to form an expert cabinet.

"We Continue the Change" and "Vazrazhdane" did not respond to Gabrovski's invitation for a meeting. "Democratic Bulgaria" and BSP refused support for a government with the first mandate, while "Bulgarian Rise" expressed support for a government formed with the first mandate of the president.
