"We Continue the Change" makes a referral to SANS about a possible crimе against Bulgaria's energy and national security

Varna Thermal Power Plant

"We Continue the Change" announced that it had made a referral to the State Agency for National Security (SANS) about a possible criminal offence against Bulgaria's energy and national security.

According to "We Continue the Change", between January and April 2022, Varna Thermal Power Plant did not pay for the gas quantities received under the contract with Bulgaria’s public gas supplier Bulgazraz, which was signed during GERB's government. According to the party, Varna TPP owed BGN 37 million.

The management of Bulgargaz, appointed by Kiril Petkov’s cabinet, took legal action against the debtor, said "We Continue the Change". "We Continue the Change" accused the current executive director of the gas distrubution company of inaction, possibly in favor of the thermal power plant.
