Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov reported on the foreign policy of the caretaker government. The first priority was the organization of the elections on October 2. They took place peacefully, without complaints in 755 polling stations, in 62 countries and 178,000 Bulgarians voted abroad. It will be increasingly difficult to organize elections abroad and the latest changes to the Election Code will further complicate the process for April 2, said Milkov.

The war in Ukraine was a topic on which we remained a strong link in NATO, provided assistance to Kyiv and were guided by international law, Milkov added.

We continued the efforts to fulfill the agreements with Skopje and reduce the escalation by protecting the interests and rights of all Bulgarians in North Macedonia, the Acting Foreign Minister reported and said that Bulgaria has never been so close to Schengen as it is today.
