The largest number of Bulgarians in the EU are in Germany, Spain and Italy

The largest Bulgarian community in the European Union, which consists of 410,885 people, lives in Germany, reported BGNES. 

They are followed by Bulgarians in Spain - according to official data, they number 118,120 people, and unofficial statistics determine twice as many (215 thousand people). 

In third and fourth place are Italy and France with 90 thousand and 60-80 thousand Bulgarians, respectively. 

Large Bulgarian diasporas traditionally also exist in Greece, the Czech Republic and Austria. 

Outside the EU on the Old Continent, large groups of Bulgarians have settled in Turkey - 600-700 thousand people, and in Great Britain - 389,270 people.
