Bulgarian singer is part of a band that will represent Czechia at the Eurovision Song Contest

The band "Vesna" will represent Czechia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool with their song "My Sister's Crown". Bulgarian Tanita Yankova is a member of the band. The artists sing in four languages - Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Czech and English. "The song is connected with Slavic traditions. We all come from different countries. Three of us were born in the Czech Republic, Tanita is from Bulgaria and the rest of the girls are from Russia and Slovakia. This creates a very strong bond because we are united by the Slavic language," the girls from the band said. 

The band Vesna was selected the winner of ESCZ 2023 by the public and will get to perform their song, My Sister’s Crown, in Liverpool this May. The band was formed 6 years ago and has released two albums. It combines elements of modern pop and folk
