According to the daily analysis of the situation in Ukraine by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the pace of Russian operations in the western part of Luhansk Oblast increased significantly in the past week.

The involvement of significant number of military units shows that Russia has begun the next major offensive in Luhansk Oblast, although Ukrainian forces are currently blocking their advance. The experts' analysis indicates that Russian military command additionally appears to have fully committed elements of several conventional divisions to decisive offensive operations.

Meanwhile, it became clear that Ukrainian forces will no longer be able to use the satellite internet connection provided by US company SpaceX to guide military drones. The reason is that the use of Starlink for drones falls outside the scope of the agreement between SpaceX and the Ukrainian government. The company's president, Gwynne Shotwell, said the contract was signed to serve humanitarian needs, such as providing broadband internet to hospitals, banks and families affected by the war.
