UNICEF Bulgaria is raising funds to help the victims in Turkey and Syria

Like many non-governmental organizations and civil associations in the country, UNICEF Bulgaria has also announced a campaign to raise funds to help the victims of the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Thousands of children and families remain at risk and in urgent need of help, the organization, which is working on site with partners in both countries to provide food, shelter, warm clothes, and psychological support to victims, said in a statement. 
Anyone can support the UNICEF campaign by sending a text message (SMS) with the text UNICEF to short number 1021 valid for all mobile operators in Bulgaria and will thus donate BGN 5 once. VAT and taxes are not due for subscribers of all mobile operators. 

Donations can also be made to the bank account of UNICEF Bulgaria.
