The new rafting season was officially opened today with demonstration descents on the Struma River near the Kresna Gorge. Instructors are hoping for an excellent season thanks to warmer temperatures and a mild winter.

The first descent of the season started early in the morning, mostly with experienced rafting instructors, whose first task is to inspect and secure the 12 km route along the river bed.

There was no lack of enthusiasts from all over the country waiting for their turn to descend the rapids of Struma.
