Bulgaria to ease recognition of higher education abroad

Ministry of Education proposes a Single Registry for Academic Recognition of Higher Education

A Single Registry for Academic Recognition of Higher Education Abroad is proposed by the Ministry of Education and Science. The draft amendment to the regulation has been published for discussion on the ministry's website.

Currently the National Centre for Information and Documentation NACID maintains 3 registries - of certificates of academic recognition issued, of certificates annulled and of academic recognition refusals. Checking each of the three creates an unnecessary administrative workload and risk of oversights. The proposed single registry will be accessible online which will make it easier for overseas graduates to apply for jobs.
