The staff at Sofia Airport have declared strike readiness, Vanya Grigorova, economic advisor to Podkrepa Labour Confederation announced on Facebook. The staff are demanding a 20% raise in salaries and retirement compensations of 10 or 15 monthly salaries, depending on the length of service. The employer is not only refusing to meet the workers’ demands, but also plans to cut paid leave and retirement compensations, Vanya Grigorova writes.
