At a working meeting, the two largest parliamentary political forces - GERB-SDS and We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria, discussed Budget 2023.

The two coalitions agreed the country should stick to the road to the eurozone, maintain a 3% budget deficit, optimise spending, not increase taxes, index pensions according to the Swiss rule and keep teachers' salaries at 125% of the average wage in the country.

The budget should be presented as soon as possible, in the next one or two weeks, so that it can be adopted by mid-June, the two coalitions believe. If this is not done, the country's financial system will be in trouble.
