Bulgaria remains committed to security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova and Georgia

During the Bucharest Nine summit of defense ministers in Warsaw, Bulgarian Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov focused on strengthening NATO's Eastern flank, which can be guaranteed by combat-ready multinational battle groups. The minister congratulated Finland on joining NATO and pointed out having another strong and reliable ally in the Baltic region and on the Eastern flank of the Alliance was of great importance.

On a bilateral basis and through the EU and NATO, Bulgaria is committed to support the security of Moldova, Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. B-9 includes Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. UK Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace also participated in the forum. The ministers adopted a joint position in support of Ukraine.
