Veselin Topalov won a victory in the third round and drew in the fourth round of the round-robin tournament “Craddle of Modern Chess” in the Spanish city of Salamanca.
Topalov played versus Kirill Alekseenko (Russia) and Jaime Santos Latasa (Spain). The former world champion scored a victory against the Russian chess player with the black pieces and drew versus the Spanish player with the white pieces.
