PP-DB co-chairman Kiril Petkov defined the recording published by MP Radostin Vassilev as a clear attack aimed to sabotage the formation of a government.

Petkov told journalists that what happened was an active operation conducted by pro-Russian forces. "Apparently, the possibility of forming a regular government that would reform the services and bring Bulgaria into Schengen is the main reason for today's attack," Petkov said.

He also asked why the president continued to delay handing over the second mandate and whether this was synchronized with today's press conference by Radostin Vassilev.
