Bulgarian-American gymnast Eddie Penev won a gold medal in the floor event at the Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup tournament taking place in Varna. Penev, who lives in the US, earned 14.366 points for his performance which won him the title. Runners up are Botond Molnár, Hungary with 13.833 points and Emil Akmejanov, Kazakhstan with 13.800 points. The favorite for the first place Artur Davtyan from Armenia was left without a medal, and came in 6th.
