A march for Bulgaria remaining a parliamentary republic part of the EU and NATO is organized this evening in social media. The start of the event is at 18:30 in front of the Presidency building downtown Sofia, after which the participants will continue with a rally to the National Assembly.
Organizers object to the way President Rumen Radev handed the second mandate to the PP-DB coalition, implying that it was better to return it unfulfilled, as it was already "discredited".
"Let's not forget that Bulgaria is a parliamentary, not a presidential republic. Bulgaria has chosen its path of development a long time ago - it is as a member of the EU and part of the NATO collective security system. But let's not forget that this is not guaranteed if in critical moments we do not stand up and protect it," the initiative states.
