The temporary ban on the import of wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower from Ukraine in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia has been extended by 3 months until September 15, 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food said.

The decision was taken by the European Commission and published in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Commission's assessment has shown that there are still significant logistical bottlenecks and limited storage capacity and that the infrastructure of the five member states is still insufficient to cope with the increase in traffic.
