Vazrazhdane party under investigation, after supporters disrupt a Sofia Pride Film Fest screening

Authorities are investigating a case involving Vazrazhdane supporters after they stormed the Odeon cinema theatre during the screening of a film from Sofia Pride Film Fest programme, Justice Minister Atanas Slavov said. 

On Saturday evening, youths wearing T-shirts with the party's logo took close-up pictures of the faces of visitors, shouting at them that they were "paedophiles". 

to the row between nationalists and representatives of the LGBT community, the minister called for all forms of political violence to be avoided. "It is unacceptable for Bulgarian citizens to be restricted in their legal rights and for MPs to be prevented from speaking from the rostrum," he stressed.
