Farmers in Kyustendil have organised the so called cherry tourism based on the idea of Prof. Dimitar Domozetov, former director of the Institute of Agriculture in Kyustendil and now a private producer. This way for 5.11 EUR per adult and 2.56 EUR per child, any lover of the sweet fruit will be able to spend a day in a cherry orchard.

In addition to enjoying an outdoor experience, people will be able to pick cherries for a price of just 1 EUR per kilogram.

Meanwhile, in Kyustendil, where the tastiest cherries grow, preparations are being made for the traditional Cherry Festival at the end of the week. Thousands of visitors are expected to come to the city for the festivities.
