Bulgarian cabinet has approved two nominations for European Commissioner that will be presented in Brussels

At an extraordinary meeting, the Council of Ministers approved two candidacies for the position of European Commissioner that are to be proposed to the European Commission due to the vacant position by current Foreign Minister, Mariya Gabriel.

Former minister for innovation and growth Daniel Lorer is the candidate of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria", while Iliana Ivanova, a member of the European Court of Auditors, is the candidate of GERB. “After the vote, we feel that we are presenting two very worthy candidates", Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said.
