The Bulgarian water area of the Black Sea remains clean

The Bulgarian water area of the Black Sea remains clean. According to the latest information from the Ministry of Environment and Water, there have been no reports of pollution. The forecast for the north-western Black Sea remains favorable. The Ministry of Environment and Water is in constant exchange of information with the Ukrainian, the Moldovan and the Romanian authorities on potential contamination of the Black Sea waters. For its part, the Bulgarian Embassy in Kyiv has informed that the radiation background in the Odessa region is within normal limits.

On June 27, 2023, the Black Sea Basin Directorate took samples from three different points in national sea waters. The first test results are expected within ten days.
