Vitosha International Folklore Festival will bring colour and merriment to Sofia residents and guests

Sofia Municipality and Vitosha District are organizing the 27th edition of the Vitosha International Folklore Festival. The opening ceremony is on 10 July at 8 p.m. at the National History Museum in Boyana. 

For 6 days over 750 participants from 15 countries will present their national culture through concerts, competitions and workshops under the motto "Together for the love of dance". In addition to the folklore dance concerts, the programme will also include a bazaar, the planting of the "Tree of Friendship", a picnic in the "Kambanite" ("The Bells") park, a contest "Vita Maiden and Lulin Youth" and many other surprises. A festive procession will be held in the centre of the capital on Tuesday. Entrance is free.
