Opera performances under the open sky will bring joy to music lovers this summer. The fourth edition of the Opera on the Sanctuary Festival will be held from August 5 to 26, on four consecutive Saturday evenings in the setting of the Thracian sanctuary of Begliktash near Primorsko. The organizers from the State Opera - Burgas and the Municipality of Primorsko promise a rich program with some of the most popular and beloved opera titles.

This year, the festival opens on August 5 with the performance "Samson and Delilah" by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, under the baton of maestro Ivan Kozhuharov. On August 12, the audience will be able to watch "Nabucco" by Giuseppe Verdi under the baton of maestro Ivailo Krinchev. "Carmen" by Georges Bizet is the third title in the program of this year's festival. The performance will be on August 19. Conductor will be Grigor Palikarov and the dramatic plot on stage will be recreated by mezzo-soprano Daniela Dyakova in partnership with tenor Kostadin Andreev. On August 26, "Troubadour" by Giuseppe Verdi will be presented.

The large-scale cultural event provides an opportunity for the audience to encounter the symbolism of the Thracian sacred place combined with the emotion and impact of the opera art.
