Today is the last day of the celebrations of the 144th anniversary of Bulgaria’s Naval Forces, and there will be a host of different events.

In the morning, the flags of the ships from the Bulgarian navy will be hoisted in Varna and in Burgas, after which a military ceremony will take place in Varna at which the graduates of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy will be awarded their first officer rank. Yesterday, 432 students from the academy received their academy diplomas – of them 125 graduated with distinction.

Ships and equipment from the Bulgarian naval forces will be open to the public in Varna and Burgas. The day will end with a concert by the Hristo Manolov male veteran sailors’ choir in Varna.
