"Hawks of Romania" to perform air show in Varna

The national aerial acrobatics team of Bulgaria’s northern neighbor - the "Hawks of Romania", will perform an air show for the Day of Varna - August 15, mayor of the city, Ivan Portnih announced. The event will feature award-winning pilots in aerobatic competitions. Among them is 23-year-old Andreea Bănesaru, one of the few female aces in Europe. George Rotaru, one of Romania's most experienced pilots and chairman of the Aeroclub Romania, will present a solo demonstration in front of the audience, BNR Varna reported.

The demonstrations will be free to watch and will take place at 7:00 p.m. The best view will be from the Marine Station. August 15 is a day off for residents of Varna. On the occasion of the holiday, other events are expected at key locations in the city.
