Bulgarian Navy has stepped up anti-mine surveillance

The Bulgarian Navy has stepped up anti-mine surveillance to ensure the safety of navigation and the prevention of accidents, following reports of an explosion of a sea mine on August 14 near the Romanian Black Sea resort of Costinesti 30 km from the Bulgarian border.

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defense announced that additional forces and resources are on immediate readiness to respond to reports of floating mines and to dispose of them.
