Bulgaria’s national women’s volleyball team advances to quarterfinals

Bulgaria’s national women’s volleyball team won versus the team of Slovenia 3-2 (16-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-9) at the 1/8-finals of the championship in Florence.

The girls from the national squad are now among the top eight teams on the continent, and will play at the quarterfinals on 29 August versus the team of the Netherlands, which beat Switzerland 3-0. Radostina Marinova made the biggest impression, ending with 21 points, as against Karin Sunderlikova of Slovakia with 17.
