The National Statistical Institute has reported 7.7% annual inflation and 0.4% monthly inflation in August this year. In August compared to July, the largest price rise was observed in fuel and transport services, health care, restaurants and hotels. For some food products, the price rise was also significant.

There is a reduction in prices in the spheres of "Clothing and shoes", "Communication", "Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels". Although there was deflation registered on a monthly basis in May and June, after which the index returned to positive territory, on an annual basis a persistent deceleration trend can be observed, experts reported.
