"Unfolding the potential for onshore wind energy in Bulgaria" is the topic of a round table discussion organized today in Sofia by the Centre for the Study of Democracy.

An analysis of the future potential for the development of wind energy in Bulgaria, developed jointly with the Austrian Institute of Technology, will be presented at the forum.

Unlocking the potential of wind energy is at the heart of European policy to achieve climate neutrality and overcome risks to energy security. Although the development of the sector is lagging behind due to a number of administrative and regulatory deficits, Bulgaria has a huge wind resource both on land and in the Black Sea, the organizers of the round table emphasize.
