A giant thermal complex near Sofia, which will be in the top 5 in Europe, starts construction

In the village of Ravno Pole, just 30 minutes from the center of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, construction has started on what will be one of the largest thermal resort centres in Europe, we learn from investor.bg. The new resort will boast mineral water with a temperature of 57.5°C. 

There will be 18 mineral pools with a total area of more than 4,000 sq m, as well as 20 water slides with a total length of 1.2 km, one of which will be the highest water slide in Bulgaria. Guests will stroll through expansive green areas planted with over 500 natural palm trees sourced from a number of exotic destinations. The complex will feature a 5-star hotel with a luxurious spa offering wellness treatments with mineral water, salt, mud, electrotherapies etc. There will also be numerous dining and entertainment venues as well as a casino. The total area of the complex will be over 52 thousand sq. m. There will also be a regular bus service connecting Sofia with the new attraction.
The duration of the project is 3 years. The developer is a Bulgarian company with many years of experience in tourism services and real estate investment. After the realization of the project it will be in the top 5 in Europe in terms of size, experts predict. The nearest similar site is currently located in Bucharest.
