Grigor Dimitrov defeats Carlos Alcaraz, qualifies for quarterfinals in Shanghai

The most successful Bulgarian tennis player in history, Grigor Dimitrov, played a brilliant and highly contested match to beat world #2 Carlos Alcaraz 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 in the round of 16 of the Shanghai Masters 1000 tournament on hard courts.

Grigor Dimitrov's opponent in the quarterfinals will be the Chilean Nicolas Jarry, 22nd in the world, who eliminated Diego Schwartzman earlier today with 6:3, 5:7, 6:3.
