269 euro (526 leva) will be the poverty line in Bulgaria in 2024, the government has decided. It will rise by 11 euro. "About 800 000 people from vulnerable groups will receive more financial support in 2024 as a result of the increase in the poverty line," Minister of Labor and Social Policy Ivanka Shalapatova said.

In August, the CITUB trade union announced that, according to its calculations, the target poverty threshold for 2024 should be 330 euros to compensate for inflation.
