Bulgarian folklore has inspired musicians of all genres. One of them is Yavor Roussinoff - composer, arranger and producer, known as a pioneer in mixing Bulgarian folk motifs with modern music. The beginning of these creative searches was in 1993 with the ethno-electronic duo VOX with Konstantin Stoyanov. In 1994, they released the album "2101", as the song "Yana" became a hit. In 1996, Yavor Roussinoff formed the successful ethno-project YAKU, in which he partnered with Kurt Hauenstein from the legendary band SUPERMAX. As a result of their collaboration, two albums were released: "Total Emigration" (1997) and "The World Behind You" (2003). In 2002, together with Orlin Kyurkchiyski and Yasen Kozev, he created the electronic ethno-trio BULGARO.
Now Yavor Roussinoff is back with a new album - "Yana". It premieres on all music platforms on November 10. "Yana" is the fifth folk-based album produced by the author. Work on it started five years ago in collaboration between composer Yavor Rousinoff and women's folk choir "The Great Voices of Bulgaria" with conductor Iliya Mihailov.
In addition to the choir, soloists Vesko Eschkenazy, Theodosii Spassov, Vasil Mihailov, Desislava Petrova, Veselka Stambolieva, Krasimira Stoyanova and others also participate in the album.
The project is expected to be presented in 2024 with a spectacular audio-visual show in Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Varna and Veliko Tarnovo.
