"Yesterday we were opponents, but today, after we swore in, we are on the same side - that of Sofia." This was what the capital's mayor Vasil Terziev said to the newly elected municipal councilors, expressing hope that they will work together and make the right decisions for the city. According to him, the dream that unites them is Sofia becoming a beautiful, orderly and safe European city in which people can build a future.

The first tasks that Vasil Terziev singled out are getting to know the administration and finding out which are the most urgent problems that need to be solved, as well as to start the preparation of the new budget, to free up the parking lot near "St. Nedelya" church in the center of the city, to start the battle with vandalism and graffiti.

When asked if there was going to be a tax rise, the mayor replied that the first and most important step, stated in the pre-election campaign, is to win the trust of the people of Sofia with the available resources and through good governance.
