Bilyana Angelova is a poet and composer, which makes her one of the few contemporary authors writing both lyrics and music for some of Bulgaria’s most popular and beloved artists. She wrote the music and the lyrics for music hits such as "Navisoko" - the first duet of Miro and Koyna Ruseva, which marked the beginning of the Singing Artists project. Mariana Popova defined her song "Truth" as the most favorite in her repertoire, and even named an album and a tour after it.
The delicate combination of music and lyrics has brought Bilyana Angelova numerous awards. In 2015, the piece "Nerodeni Dumi" performed by Hristina Jivkova won two awards at the Bulgarian National Radio’s Spring song contest for new Bulgarian pop and rock music. In the 2020 Children's Melody of the Year competition, the song "Izvore" was awarded first prize. At the 2023 Sofia Sings festival she received the Media Award with the song "Moyat Den Badi", sung by Margarita Hranova. This is yet another song written by Bilyana Angelova and performed by Margi Hranova.
Bilyana Angelova and Margarita Hranova met in 2016. Bilyana says that Margarita Hranova's voice inspires her with its incredible range, brightness in the high register, softness in the low register, and a great diversity of emotions. We can hear that in the song ‘’Dream’’. Bilyana Angelova wrote the lyrics and the music. The arrangement is by Georgi Tsvetkov.
