68% of Bulgarians celebrate March 8

"Dear women and mothers, be happy, loved and appreciated, and continue to be our support and inspiration!,  Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev wrote on Facebook on the occasion of the International Women's Day.

National Assembly Speaker Rosen Zhelyazkov also greeted the ladies with the words: "Accept our appreciation and gratitude for being the more beautiful and better half of the human race!"

According to a sociological survey by "Trend" commissioned by "24 Chasa," 68% of Bulgarians mark or celebrate March 8. More than two-thirds of respondents say that today they will give flowers – 60% will give flowers to their mothers, 37% to their wives or partners, 30% to a friend, 24% to a colleague, and 7% to their daughters, daughters-in-law.
