Nurgyul Salimova represents Bulgaria at FIDE Candidates Tournament in Toronto

Nurgyul Salimova is the only one to represent Bulgaria at the FIDE Candidates Tournament starting today in Toronto, having earned her place there with a brilliant performance at the World Cup last September, when she reached the final, but lost in a dramatic battle against Russian Alexandra Goryachkina.

The tournament starts on April 3 with an official ceremony and the games start on April 4th. Nurgyul Salimova starts the tournament with Elo 2432. In the first round Salimova will face Anna Muzychuk (Ukraine).
