Marieta Georgieva climbed Mount Everest (8,848 meters) and became the third Bulgarian female climber to summit the highest peak on the planet. Marieta Georgieva climbed Everest as part of a commercial expedition led by legendary mountaineer Nirmal Purja. He led the expedition alongside two other famous mountaineers, Mingma David Sherpa and Mingma Tenzi Sherpa.
