The European Shooting Confederation has voted in favour of Bulgaria to host Euro 2026 in Burgas for the U21, U18 and U16 age categories.

"Hosting the tournament will give our young athletes a chance to gain confidence and motivation. I will not hide the fact that our ambition was to host the entire championship. But we can't ignore the fact that the Bulgarian Shooting Union has not organised major international competitions for many years, and now we have to take the first important step. Trust is easy to break and hard to build," commented the President of the Bulgarian Shooting Union, Vesela Lecheva.

Bulgaria has hosted the European Shooting Championships four times - in 1975, 1985, 1992 and 1996.
