''If a government is formed this week, I pledge to help the people quickly. This will happen only if we form a government'', GERB leader Boyko Borisov said during a visit to the villages in the Veliko Tarnovo region affected by the hailstorm.

"If there is a government, we will help", Borisov added. "I will not let you drive my car anymore", Boyko Borisov said referring to the previous cabinet of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, where there was an agreement for a rotation of prime ministers after 9 months, but it never materialized. Borisov emphasized that severe disasters are becoming more frequent and the current assistance of up to 1,000 BGN (500 EUR) is insufficient. He believes that parliament should introduce automatic assistance from a special disaster fund.
