Vice President Iliana Iotova has described the situation in Bulgaria as "extremely unstable". "There is a great danger of a serious political crisis that could make it impossible for us to cope with the Recovery and Resilience Plan, with the operational programmes, nor with important decisions that are facing our country," she told journalists in Belogradchik.

According to the vice-president, it would be difficult to have a minority government, which is the intention of GERB-SDS. In her words, such a cabinet would not provide a solid political foundation, as the largest political force would be dependent on all the others.

Iliana Iotova expressed her expectation that the next cabinet would come with a governance programme. "We are tired of patchwork solutions, bargaining, deals. Let those who want and intend to govern present to the Bulgarian citizens what are the five priorities Bulgaria will develop," she said.
