Caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev said from Washington that he did not know why the president had not yet announced a date for handing over the second exploratory mandate to form a government. "Surely, President Rumen Radev has some considerations on the matter, because you know that there is no specific deadline written in the Constitution for handing over the mandate, but it is considered that a seven-day period is normal for such procedures", said Premier Glavchev.

He refused to comment on the internal situation in the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) and stressed that he did not know how the processes in DPS would affect the country. Glavchev reiterated that it is important for Bulgaria to have a regular government because at the moment our country is being viewed a bit differently. According to the caretaker prime minister, this was also felt at the NATO Summit in Washington.
