Rhythmic gymnastics: Stiliana Nikolova tops temporary World Challenge Cup standings in Cluj-Napoca

Absolute world champion Stiliana Nikolova topped the standings of the World Challenge Cup in rhythmic gymnastics in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

On the first day of the competition she scored the highest results in the hoop and the ball, ahead of world champion Darja Varfolomeev and her team-mate Boryana Kaleyn.

The Bulgarian ensemble – Magdalina Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Margarita Vasileva -  came second in the temporary standings after the five hoops composition, first comes Israel and third – Brazil.

Today’s bats and ribbon combination in the individual race, and the three ribbons and two balls in the ensembles, will determine the champion in the all-around.
