A deliberate fire broke out in the village of Dimitrievo in the Stara Zagora region. Six fire brigade teams are fighting the fire, the mayor of Chirpan municipality Ivaylo Kracholov and the Stara Zagora regional governor Metodi Markov are on the spot, BNR correspondent Iva Antonova reports.

The perpetrator has been detained, and the fire is growing fast as there is a danger to reach the village station. There are affected houses and buildings.

The fire has also spread to the railway line between Merichleri and Mihailovo, and two trains have been turned back.

The overhead power line has been disconnected to continue the firefighting efforts. Firefighters are controlling the perimeter of the fire and there is no danger of it spreading to neighbouring villages.
