Bulgaria sends 46 athletes to the Paris Olympics

A total of 46 athletes are included in the Bulgarian delegation to the Olympic Games in Paris, which start on July 26, the Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) reported. 

The flag bearers are boxer Stanimira Petrova and swimmer Lyubomir Epitropov. 

In addition to the athletes, 40 coaches and 13 medical team members are travelling to Paris. BOC Secretary General Belcho Goranov is the deputy head of the delegation, and the president of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation Lyubo Ganev is the Olympic attaché.

Bulgaria will be represented in 16 sport disciplines in Paris, with the largest number of athletes in rhythmic gymnastics - the sgroup and individual contestant with seven people, followed by athletics, boxing and wrestling - five people each, swimming - four, badminton and weightlifting - three each, rowing, judo, gymnastics and shooting - two each and canoe-kayak, modern pentathlon, tennis, fencing and taekwondo - one each.
