''Caretaker Minister of Interior Kalin Stoyanov should definitely be dismissed. I call on President Rumen Radev and caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev to find a solution to appoint an acceptable replacement, so that snap elections are organized as soon as possible", GERB leader Boyko Borissov said at a press conference. "Yesterday, I saw unacceptable actions. An interior minister with a raised fist in front of the presidency is not acceptable", said Boyko Borissov.

GERB is adamant that there is no violation of the Constitution following President Rumen Radev's refusal to issue a decree for the appointment of the caretaker cabinet proposed by Goritsa Grancharova - Kozhareva. The president refused to sign the decree because Kalin Stoyanov remained in the cabinet as interior minister. "The state cannot become a hostage to an interior minister", Boyko Borissov stated.

According to Boyko Borissov, Prime minister-designate Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva acted rashly and should have nominated another name for interior minister.
