After the cycling tours of France, Italy and Belgium, Bulgaria's cycling tour is the fourth oldest in Europe and marks a hundred years since it was first held in 1924.

Martin Papanov from the Nessebar Cycling Club is the best Bulgarian rider so far, in 4th place in the provisional classification, 26 seconds behind the leader Carboni.
