The popular travel guide "Lonely Planet" has ranked the Bulgarian resort of Bansko among the best places to visit next year in its guide "Best in Travel 2025", BTA reported.

The platform describes Bansko as a "small town tucked among the peaks of the Pirin Mountains, which has long been a popular ski spot for Europeans’’.

“Thanks to a long season, travelers can enjoy Bansko’s winter sports in March, when it’s a lot quieter. But there’s a lot more to do in this Bulgarian town than ski. Wander the cobbled streets of the Old Town, dine at a mehana (traditional tavern) and learn about local history. With a recent influx of digital nomads and international tourists, craft-beer shops, cafes and bakeries are popping up. Explore this spot now – before everyone else catches on, wrote the Lonely Planet.
