The Regional Museum of History in Dobrich and the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Poland are organizing an international scientific conference dedicated to the Polish-Hungarian King Vladislav Varnenchik.

The event will take place online on 12 November with the participation of researchers from Bulgaria, Poland, Czechia, Romania, Hungary and Lithuania, the museum in Dobrich says. The forum is taking place on the occasion of the 580th anniversary since the battle against the Ottoman invaders played out at the walls of the medieval fortress Varna, the Regional Museum of History says. The battle ended in the death of the young Polish-Hungarian King Wladyslaw III Jagiello, posthumously named Vladislav Varnenchik.
