The People's Republic of China is introducing a visa-free regime for holders of Bulgarian passports for business purposes, tourism, visiting relatives or friends, official visits or transit, for no more than 30 days. The Situation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifies that the visa-free regime will be in force from 0:00 on November 30, 2024 to 24:00 on December 31, 2025.
In cases where the period of stay or the reason for the trip differs from the above, the visa requirement remains in force.
A few days ago, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted by Reuters, said that China will include Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, Japan and other countries in its visa-free access program. Beijing will also extend the visa-free period for citizens of 38 countries included in the visa-free program from 15 to 30 days. Until now, only citizens of South Korea and some European countries had visa-free access to China.
